What is PEERS?

“The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and other socio-emotional problems.

PEERS® Program for Education & Enrichment of Relational Skills for Adolescents (ages 12.5 – 17).

PEERS® Participants Will Learn How To:              

  • Host successful get-togethers

  • Maintain appropriate conversations

  • Appropriately use electronic forms of communication

  • Use appropriate humor

  • Choose appropriate friends

  • Successfully handle disagreements and teasing

  • Enter and exit conversations                              

  • Handle Teasing and Bullying

  • Handle Rumors and Gossip                                

PEERS® is a 14- week evidenced based social skills group designed for motivated Teens who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends PEERS® is the ONLY available evidence-based social skills program for adolescents with ASD. The program is used clinically for youth with ADHD, anxiety, depression and other social challenges.
